I'm starting a blog to track my personal process through my thesis project that I am really excited about. Creating a blog to talk about my work is something I have been meaning to do but I keep putting off because I think its “time consuming” or because I “have nothing interesting to say”. However I realized that listening to other people talk about their creative process is really interesting and can provide delicious nuggets of guidance and insight so I figured it was time to start contributing myself. This will be my first time leading a project and creating something larger than the scale of a week long prototype on my own so I think there will be lots of lessons to learn and it will provide a nice running documentation of my thought process as I continue to grow and learn.
Little bit of background info for anyone who doesn't know me, as of writing I am in USC’s Interactive Media and Games Masters program. At the end of August, I will be starting to work on my ~*Thesis Project*~ which is a year long, student led project that should result in a cool game and proof that we learned something in our 3 year program. Its basically our big final test and can feel like a large looming momentous project, and in some ways it absolutely is. In other ways however, its just another learning experience that is slightly larger than my previous learning experiences! This blog, for the foreseeable future at least, will be about my experience moving through this ~*Thesis Project*~
